As the ministry grows, so grows the need for you to become a part of what God is doing in the lives of so many people. I have provided a list of just some of the needs of Pathway. I am asking that you please choose an area where God has gifted you and then allow God to use that gift in helping others.
PRAYER PARTNERS
When you think of counseling, you have to imagine the spiritual warfare which takes place during the counseling session. You must realize that Satan does not want a family or marriage to be restored nor does he want an individual who is mired in an addiction, to be set free. We need your prayers for protection over the ministry, the counselors, and the individuals and families we see.
Become a prayer partner and join forces to ensure victory. We are putting together a list which will go out to each prayer partner regarding the needs and uses surrounding Pathway.
ADVISORY BOARD (A FAMILY APPROACH)
With the VISION of Pathway being so unique, it is important to create an advisory board (AB) for each facet of the ministry. Each AB will work closely with at least two members of the Board of Directors to make that area of the ministry a reality.
1. If you love working with teenagers and have a vision to make a difference in their lives then become a part of the AB for the Youth Ranch.
2. If you want to work closely with women who are hurting because of a divorce, or loss of their spouse through death, then become a part of the AB of the Butterfly House.
What makes the Advisory Board so important? With just the staff and Board Members of Pathway, we cannot begin to put this all together. But with each of us, working together as a team, the results are unlimited. The Advisory Board allows you to have a “hands on” experience of being used by God to change lives.
VOLUNTEERS WITH MAILINGS AND EVENTS
As the ministry grows, the need for volunteer help becomes even more important. We will need volunteers to help with mailings, fundraising events, and the other activities which will come as the ministry continues to grow.
CREATION OF FUNDRAISING IDEAS
As you know, fundraising is a vital part of any ministry. We need creative and resourceful individuals who can come up with great ideas and implement them.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
I do not know where Pathway Counseling Ministry would be today if it were not for the faithfulness of our financial supporters. Because of their support we have been able to grow and provide the counseling necessary for the individuals and families who come to Pathway during a time of crisis. During the last 3 years, we have provided over 9,000 counseling sessions.
Your financial support is greatly needed. Can you imagine the impact the counseling ministry would have if each family (over 9,000 on the mailing list) would send in $10, $20, or $50 a month. Nothing could stand in the way of any individual or family receiving the help they need during their time of crisis.
At Pathway, we support the Scriptural teaching from Malachi in that Christians are to bring the tithe into the storehouse, which is the local church. If you feel led of God to support Pathway/Defender Ministries then please make sure that this gift is not a portion of your normal tithe. We feel it is important to support the local church and the vision which God has placed before them.
