THE STAFF



Rev. Charles Wise, M.A. LMHC  Founder and Director of Pathway

Charles is a LMHC and Clinical Supervisor for the State of Florida.  He has worked mainly with family and marriage issues since 1993.  Along with being the Founder of Pathway, Charles is also the co-founder of Defender Ministries.  Defender is a ministry which focuses on providing "tools' for churches, families, and college ministries in dealing with the destruction of Internet Pornography.  Charles works in our Winter Springs, Windermere, Eustis, Longwood, and Sanford offices.  Charles has been married since 1982 to his wife, Nancy.  They have two children.

Rev. Tyler Shannon, M Div, Ministry Administrator & Co-Director

Tyler is an Ordained Minister and has served on church staff, as a college and youth minister, for ten years, prior to coming to Pathway.  He is the new administrator for Pathway and also provides “Life Coaching” in the areas of spiritual challenges, family and marriage issues.  Tyler works in our Kissimmee and Windermere offices.

Rev. Dale Ziglear  M.A.  Registered Counselor Intern   Ministry Administrator & Co-Director

Dale joined the Pathway Staff in December 2005 and provides “Life Coaching” for families and marriages with a focus on creating seminars for parents and couples.  Dale has been a pastor since 1994, serving in the areas of education and family ministry.  Dale graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic in December 2007 with a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy.  Dale's focus in counseling is with couples and families.  Dale has been married to his wife, Mary Lou, for 26+ years. He has two adult children, a son in law, and one grandchild.  Dale works in our Winter Springs, Chuluota, and Brevard offices.

Beverly Knestrick, M.Ed.,  M.A.  Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern   Ex. Director of The Butterfly House

Beverly is the Executive Director and Founder of the Butterfly House, a ministry devoted to Single Mothers and their children. Bev has been associated with Pathway Counseling Ministry for 12+ years and has specialized in her work with women and children in groups for the past 7 years.  Beverly is a former teacher at the high school and college level and is presently an Administrator at the District level with Orange County Public Schools.  She plans to move out of that position in the next year to work full time in the Butterfly House.

She is presently working toward licensure as a Mental Health Counselor.  Bev has her Masters in Education as well as her Ed. Specialist degree in Administration.  Her passion and purpose is working with women and children through the Butterfly House, to educate, equip, and empower them to a New Legacy in life.  Bev lives with her husband David, has 2 adult children, 1 adult step-son, 1 adult step-daughter-in-law, and with a huge SMILE on her face, 3 beautiful grandchildren.  Bev works in our Winter Springs office


Marion Sterling, M.A. Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Marion has been a part of Pathway since 2006.  She completed her Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Central Florida.  Marion enjoys working with many types of issues including; Marital and Relationship problems, co-dependency, communication, PTSD, grief and loss, depression and anxiety.  She also specializes in various Women's issues such as; infidelity, chronic fatigue syndrome, divorce, wives of men addicted to Pornography, and anger management.  She works with Individual Adults (over 18), Couples, Adult Families (all members over 18). 

Marion provides counseling in the St. Cloud and South Orlando Area.  Marion is also a certified Marriage and Family Therapist.  Marion works in our Windermere and St. Cloud offices.

Zuleida Herba, MS, HC,  Masters Degree Student Intern

Zuleida received her Mastor's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic, and is currently specializing as a Holisitc Health Counselor.  Her background includes 10 years of leadership experience in Christian family ministry.  She has personal expertise in the unique stresses and multiple balancing acts that busy "modern" families face, including the lonely single career person, the overwhelmed mother, the crisis teenager, step-families, and single parent families.

Zuleida believes that clients want to be well.  She is firmly rooted in Christian principles and creates a motivational, integrative, and grace oriented environment for healing.  She comes along side of those who are struggling with the goal of helping them fully discover their purpose in Christ, and their passion for life.  Her application is practical, and she enjoys celebrating with clients as they meet their personal goals and get results.

Zuleida's counseling specialities include: Health counseling and nutrition, weight loss, chronic illness, step-families, single-parent families, adolescent teenage girls in crisis, single career persons, and women's issues.  She is available to present on a variety of health and wellness topics.  Zuleida works in the Winter Springs/Oviedo office.

 

Scott Thigpen, MS, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

 

Scott received his Master's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic Univeristy.  Scott has a heart for helping our young people overcome the struggles they face.  He has personal expertise in helping steip-families and single-parent families get back their teenager who is on the road to destruction.  Scott believes our young people today suffer from a surplus of temptation and negativity around every corner, and encourages parents not to hesitate to seek help if councerned about their child.  Some early warning signs that your teenager my be on the wrong path are: skipping and/or failing school, anger outbursts, mood swings, substance ause, isolation from the family, negative friends, sneaking out at night, defiance, and sadness and/or depression.

Scott further enjoys working with pre-teens, teenagers and young adults who may be struggling with issues including: drug/alcohol addiction, defiance, depression, cutting, self-esteem, anxiety, anger, grief and loss, mood disorders, family problems, school problems, spirituality, and family issues.

Scott has been married to his wife, Alyssa, for 6+ years and together they have three small children.  Scott works in our Winter Springs/Oviedo office.
